ESPN put out its first edition of the ESPN300 recruiting rankings for the football class of 2018 today. Here’s where each of Michigan’s ESPN300 2018 commits ranks.
ESPN, which is one of the four major recruiting services, published its most notable recruiting list for the class of 2018 for the first time today. Here is how the rankings shook out for each of the each of the ranked players joining the Michigan Wolverines next year. Five of Michigan’s seven players made the ESPN300:
Four-star OG Emil Ekiyor (Indianapolis, IN)
Rank: No. 57

Four-star S Myles Sims (Atlanta, GA)
Rank: No. 157
Four-star OLB Otis Reese (Leesburg, GA)
Rank: No. 216
Four-star RB Christian Turner (Buford, GA)
Rank: No. 216
Four-star DE Aidan Hutchinson (Dearborn, MI)
Rank: No. 276
Michigan is all the way up in Big Ten country, but the Wolverines are making a huge impact down South. Three of the Wolverines’ seven commits, all in the ESPN300, are from Georgia, with another two commits coming from Texas. Jim Harbaugh has certainly made the team a true national recruiting power, much to the chagrin of coaches from other leagues.
Michigan currently has the No. 6 class in the Big Ten, and the No. 12 class in the country, per 247Sports.
