While Florida, Nebraska and Kansas have all filled their head coaching vacancies over the past week, perhaps the most desirable job, Michigan, still remains available. The Wolverines have kept their search a bit secretive thus far, in contrast to some other big-time schools.
But Sunday, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport released a bit of information that Michigan fans are sure to find interesting. He’s reporting that the Wolverines have reached out to San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh. He’s also reporting that the school appears to believe that Harbaugh wants to stay in the NFL ranks.

Wolverines fans have made it clear that they’d prefer Harbaugh, a Michigan alum with a proven track record, over most other candidates. At the moment, that doesn’t look promising.
