Minnesota may have flown under the radar on National Signing Day, but one player they managed to land was a three-star wide receiver with a celebrity relative the team would love to add as a fan.

Mike Brown-Stephens, a wideout from the state of Ohio, is the nephew of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award-winning recording artist John Legend.

Though the Minnesota Twitter page did not include that little tidbit when they announced Brown-Stephens' letter of intent signing on Wednesday, Legend was more than willing to express his congratulations on his own account.

Legend also noted the impending dilemma of who to root for when Brown-Stephens' team takes on his alma mater, Ohio State.

Legend also pointed out that Brown-Stephens was the one who famously broke one of his Grammy trophies back in 2010.

Per 247Sports, Brown-Stephens is the No. 132 WR in the country, and the No. 50 prospect from the state of Ohio.

Minnesota's Class of 2019 includes two 4-star recruits and 19 3-star recruits.
