June is major recruiting season in college football. Prospects are taking visits galore and many are offering up verbal commitments.

It is not uncommon for programs to pick up several commitments this month alone. But four in one day? That's noteworthy.

Minnesota has done just that today. The Gophers have added a quartet of commitments and we just got past lunch time.

First, linebacker James Gordon announced his commitment. Then, defensive back T.J. Robinson did the same.

Next, linebacker Donald Willis made the call, with defensive tackle DeAngelo Griffin joining him shortly thereafter.

All four are three-star prospects.

When Minnesota hired P.J. Fleck last year, his recruiting prowess was a major reason why. He's getting it done so far this year.

The Gophers already have 15 verbal commits and a class ranking in the top-20 nationally. They are fourth in the Big Ten behind Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State.
