A Number Of Nebraska Defensive Players Chose Not To Wear Their Blackshirts At Practice Today
For roughly half of Nebraska's defense, Saturday's performance against Wisconsin resulted in a temporary handing in of the Blackshirts.
The Huskers' defense, which allowed 59 points and a record-setting 408 rushing yards by Melvin Gordon in a loss to Wisconsin, was given their Blackshirts by Bo Pelini on Oct. 21.
At today's practice, seven defensive players opted to not wear the colored mesh jerseys supposed to symbolize a tough, stingy defense.

Nebraska's defense surely wasn't Blackshirt-worthy on Saturday. It'll get a chance at redemption this weekend, though, as the Huskers are set to host Minnesota at Memorial Stadium.
