Charley Ackerman is an elderly Husker fan from Milford, Neb. The senior citizen has been coming to Nebraska football games since Bob Devaney became the coach in 1962 (334 games, Ackerman says).
Lately, though, something at the contests is starting to annoy Ackerman. The music is blaring too loudly through the speakers, and, according to Ackerman, it’s mostly “hip-hop hogwash.”
Check out this letter Ackerman sent to the Huskers’ athletic department.

Unfortunately, Mr. Ackerman, that’s a request that likely won’t be fulfilled. College football games are catered to the players and the students, and “hip-hop hogwash” is the music they enjoy listening to. They like it to be really, really loud, too.
Nebraska travels to Fresno State this Saturday. The Huskers and Bulldogs are set to kickoff at 10:30 p.m. E.T.
