Cam'Ron Jones, a former UCLA football commit, is nearing a decision, and Nebraska could be the favorite.

Cam'Ron Jones is a four-star safety out of Texas. 247Sports ranks him No. 282 overall in the country.

The site also has him at No. 33 in the Lone Star State. He is the country's No. 23 safety recruit.

Jones committed to UCLA back in April, but backed away from that choice in December. His decision followed UCLA firing head coach Jim Mora.

It was his second commitment during this recruiting cycle. He spent three months in late 2016 pledged to Texas Tech.

UCLA and Texas Tech are both still being considered, at least according to his January 15 top five. However, neither is the favorite at this point.

That would be Nebraska. Scott Frost's staff came through with an offer in early December, and he was impressed enough to take a visit just a few days later.

Apparently that trip to Lincoln was very eye-opening. From Land of 10:

“Seeing how down-to-earth coaches they are, I said, ‘I’m going to give it a visit,’ ” Jones said. “After my visit, I just was blown away. There’s not much not to like out there. It’s a beautiful campus. The fan base is crazy, too. The history behind things and the tradition behind Nebraska football …”

Jones’ voice trailed off.

“Coach Frost’s story,” he continued. “What he did at UCF with the little resources he had, he could do at Nebraska times 10, you know?”

Since that visit, Nebraska has been considered a favorite for Jones. 95-percent of the voters at 247's crystal ball believe he will end up a Husker.

We'll find out soon. Jones is making his decision this Saturday.
