Country music star Chase Rice paid a visit to Nebraska's practice as they prepare to take on Tennessee in the Music City Bowl
Country music star Chase Rice made an appearance at Nebraska's practice on Wednesday, as the Huskers prepare for Friday's matchup versus the Tennessee Volunteers. Rice, a former North Carolina linebacker and a huge football fan, wanted to visit and chat with head coach Mike Riley, as well as Jerald Foltz, father of Sam Foltz.
Check it out:
Rice actually met Sam Foltz before a concert in Lincoln, and even spent time fielding some punts. After Foltz was killed in a car accident in July, Rice wore a Foltz jersey during his Buffalo County Fair performance to honor the punter.
That very jersey is the one he framed and presented to the team Wednesday, as shown in the tweet above. The jersey will go up for auction, with the proceeds going toward the Grand Island Public School Foundation.
