Bo Pelini is no longer with the Nebraska Cornhuskers after getting fired this past November, but it appears that college football fans plan on celebrating him just the same. Friday, which happens to be September 4, is now considered ‘Bo Pelini Day’ – since 9-4 was the typical record his teams put together during his tenure.
In seven years as head coach, Pelini posted season records of 9-4, 10-4, 10-4, 9-4, 10-4, 9-4 and 9-3. Remarkably consistent, or disappointing, depending on who you’re asking.
It’s 9/4, Bo Pelini day everybody!

Pelini is now the head coach at Youngstown State. We’ll see what kind of records he posts with the Penguins.
