Nebraska fans are excited entering the 2018 season. Scott Frost is back in Lincoln and expectations for the future are high.

Frost has said he thinks the Huskers will be "really dangerous" in 2019, but how about this fall? ESPN has weighed in with its FPI predictions.

ESPN's projected record for Nebraska is 5.5 wins and 6.5 losses. The Huskers are favored in six games and underdogs in six others.

Basically, ESPN puts them around the 6-6 mark. That would be a step up from last year's 4-8 record.

Here's a little more on the FPI:

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.

And here is a game-by-game breakdown for the Huskers. It features their likelihood of winning each matchup.
