Miami DE Guy Thomas Commits To Nebraska

Guy Thomas, a three-star defensive end out of Miami, has committed to Nebraska. 247Sports writer Ryan Bartow broke the news about the newest Cornhusker this afternoon.

Thomas, who stars at Booker T. Washington High School, is yet to officially announce his decision, but he hinted at it earlier today.

He has been retweeting Husker fans and articles about the commitment, confirming the decision.

Thomas is the No. 24 weakside defensive end in the class of 2017, per 247Sports. The site also ranks him No. 61 in the state of Florida.

He is the 13th member of Nebraska's recruiting class, which now ranks No. 9 in the Big Ten and No. 30 in the nation. He is the second defensive end in the class, joining Orlando native Robert Porcher IV, who committed back in late June.

Defensive line coach John Parrella and defensive backs coach Brian Stewart are credited with leading the way on Guy Thomas' recruitment. He chose the Huskers over a number of elite programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and USC.
