On Saturday night, Nebraska took the field against its toughest opponent of the season: Ohio State.

The Buckeyes came to town as 17-point favorites after dominating their opening schedule. Despite coming into the game as the underdog, Nebraska looked impressive early with a nice run to open its first drive.

However, the wheels came off in consecutive plays. Running back Maurice Washington, who was hampered with an injury last weekend, limped off the field after a short run tonight.

Here's an update on Washington.

Losing Washington would be a devastating blow to Nebraska's offense. He's averaging over seven yards per carry to lead the Huskers.

On the very next play, sophomore quarterback Adrian Martinez threw an interception to star Ohio State corner Jeffrey Okudah.

The Buckeyes took advantage of the interception as star quarterback Justin Fields ran in for a touchdown to give Ohio State a 7-0 lead.

A controversial pass interference call led to the rushing touchdown from Fields - which added to the frustration from Nebraska fans.
