College football is around the corner, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers just received a major boost to their defense for this upcoming season. It appears JUCO transfer Jahkeem Green will be ready for this fall.
Green is a JUCO transfer from Highland Community College. He is listed as the No. 18 overall JUCO recruit and No. 2 defensive tackle, per 247Sports.
Nebraska still has to get Green up to speed with its defense, but the good news is that his status with the team is no longer up in the air.
Earlier this summer, Green took a visit to Texas Tech. Although his commitment to Nebraska seemed shaky, any doubt about the four-star recruit’s future can now be put to rest.
According to the Lincoln Journal Star, Green has signed his paperwork and is officially a member of Nebraska’s football program.
With Green in Lincoln for this fall, all that is left for him to do is pass his medical and conditioning test.
Green confirmed his status on his Twitter account with this post:

Over the past two years, Jahkeem Green has totaled 117 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks. His ability to stop the run is something that Nebraska needs in order to contain running backs in the Big Ten.
The Cornhuskers are hopeful that Green can make a similar impact for them this upcoming season.
