Scott Frost's first season as head coach of Nebraska certainly could have gone better after a 4-8 finish. But with a fresh crop of new talent, it seems that the only direction to go from there is up. Nebraska fans now have a date to get their first look at the team.

According to Dan Corey of 1011 Now Sports, Nebraska has released its schedule for spring practice. Per his report, the team will speak to media on March 5.

A few days later, on March 7, Nebraska will hold its Pro Day, for NFL scouts to check out the 2019 Husker draft prospects. The first practice that the media will be allowed to watch and film will take place on March 13. Per the report, they will be allowed to watch at least the beginning of the practice.

Nebraska will wrap up the spring on April 13 with the already sold out Spring Game.

Frost's Nebraska tenure got off to a terrible start as the team started the season 0-6, losing to Colorado and Troy at home before starting 0-4 in the team's Big Ten schedule.

The Huskers were able to recover somewhat in mid-October with back-to-back wins over Minnesota and Bethune-Cookman.

They came close to upsetting No. 8 Ohio State at Ohio Stadium, but fell in that game before winning back-to-back games over Illinois and Michigan State.

Despite winning their home finale, the Huskers were unable to end the season on a high note, losing to Iowa at Kinnick Stadium in the final game.

Nebraska's 2019 regular season opens with a home game against South Alabama, followed by a road game against Colorado. The team's first Big Ten matchup will be against Illinois on September 21.
