With the holiday season just around the corner, the Nebraska Cornhuskers received an early present for 2020. On Friday, top JUCO recruit Omar Manning announced that he’s committing to the program.
Manning is the No. 1 junior college wideout and No. 2 overall prospect, per 247Sports. He’s listed as a four-star wide receiver and had 15 scholarship offers from top schools.
Despite having a plethora of programs to choose from, the talented JUCO prospect felt most comfortable with Nebraska. The official announcement from Manning came on his Twitter account.
“First off I would like to thank God for every opportunity, with him anything is possible! Thank you to all those I consider family,” Manning said. “With prayer and guidance…I will be Committing to The University Of Nebraska.”

Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez couldn’t hold in his excitement about this news, tweeting “Can’t wait for you to get here brotha!”
The Cornhuskers now have the No. 23 recruiting class in the country, per 247Sports’ rankings. This class includes several four-star recruits and 16 hard commits.
Manning will join a receiving corps that includes JD Spielman, Wan’Dale Robinson and four-star recruit Zavier Betts. Scott Frost should have fun scheming plays for that group of wide receivers.
