With this upcoming season approaching fairly soon, the Nebraska Cornhuskers must deal with a few concerning matters away from the gridiron. Over the weekend, two members of this year’s roster found themselves in legal trouble after a traffic stop in Lincoln.
On Friday, Marquel Dismuke was cited for driving with a suspended license. This is the second time he’s been in trouble for this particular matter.
Dismuke is on pace to earn a starting spot at safety for the Cornhuskers. Obviously getting in trouble over this weekend won’t help his cause.
The hits keep coming for Nebraska this offseason, as police found Jeramiah Stovall in possession of marijuana. He was cited on suspicion of possessing less than than an ounce of marijuana.
Nebraska’s program is aware of these matters and are currently working on addressing them properly.

Back in June, freshman wideout Wan’Dale Robinson was cited with possession of marijuana. This also happened to Maurice Washington, who is going to have a big role in the backfield this fall.
The Cornhuskers are a trendy pick to have a bounce-back season. Many people believe Scott Frost will put the program on the right track in his second year at the helm.
Even though the future is looking bright for Nebraska, it’ll be interesting to see if these citations end up affecting the team this season.
