Nebraska Football Has Apparently Sold Out Tickets For Its Spring Game

Nebraska football has apparently already sold out its Spring Game.

Nebraska landed one of the hottest young coaches in college football this past January, securing the services of former Cornhuskers quarterback Scott Frost. Frost recently led UCF to an undefeated, 13-0 campaign that featured a Peach Bowl victory over SEC juggernaut Auburn. Needless to say, Nebraska fans are high on their new head coach.

Just how high are they? It seems like every resident of the state is willing to head to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln to catch a glimpse of the team this spring.

Nebraska has apparently already sold out tickets for its Spring Game this April. The school claims that in the first six hours that tickets were available on Tuesday, over 60,000 tickets were sold. The rest apparently went on Wednesday morning.

Nebraska's contest, officially called the 2018 Red/White Spring Game, will take place on Saturday, April 21 at 11:00 AM. It'll be the first look that fans get at Scott Frost's new squad.

Nebraska's venue - Memorial Stadium - officially holds 85,458 people, though the record attendance is 91,585. For those wondering, selling out a spring game in a stadium that size is very, very rare.

At this point, there is now a secondary market for tickets for the contest. You can find them on StubHub - for absurd prices.

Update: Nebraska has made the news official:
