Nebraska Launches Apparent Heisman Campaign For Ameer Abdullah With 'Fear Ameer' Website

Update: Nebraska has now published a "Fear Ameer" video.

Earlier: The Ameer Abdullah for Heisman campaign has officially been started by the Nebraska athletic department.

The Huskers' tailback, the nation's leading returning rusher, has gotten off to a great start this season. Abdullah rushed for 232 yards and a touchdown in the season opener against Florida Atlantic and had an incredible game-winning touchdown reception against McNeese State in Week 2.

Abdullah's odds to win the award are currently 28-to-1, per Bovada. The Huskers' PR team is apparently attempting to increase those odds with a publicity campaign. Nebraska recently launched FearAmeer.com, a website focused on promoting Abdullah's greatness.

The website includes a video and three sections: About Ameer, What They're Saying, and Join The Conversation. The "What They're Saying" section is where most of the Heisman talk is. It includes a number of tweets and quotes about Abdullah's performance, including this one from Gil Brandt.
