The Scott Frost era is off to a rough start. No one expected Frost to turn things around overnight, but most probably thought the team wouldn't start 0-2.
But that's where the Huskers are following close home losses to Colorado and Troy. It is the first time Nebraska has started 0-2 since 1957.
Things aren't going to get any easier for Frost and his team either. They go to Michigan this weekend and still have road trips to Wisconsin and Ohio State on the docket.
Barring some unexpected victories, it doesn't look like the Huskers will be bowling this season. Nebraska hasn't missed a bowl in back-to-back years since 1967 and 1968.
So while the Huskers are making the wrong kind of history right now, running back Wyatt Mazour wants the loyal Big Red fans to know better days are on the horizon.
"Husker Nation, stick with us. I promise y'all, we're gunna figure this thing out," Mazour tweeted after yesterday's loss.
Nebraska fans are probably very frustrated with the current state of the program, but most have to know things will turn around in Lincoln. It will just take some time for everything to work out.
In the meantime, expect Memorial Stadium to be filled up for every home game, as usual. Husker fans are as loyal as they come.
