If Scott Frost is going to transform Nebraska into a contender in the Big Ten, then he'll have to recruit well. While Frost still has work left to be done for his 2020 recruiting class, this weekend presents an excellent chance to add more talent.
The Cornhuskers currently have three commits in their 2020 class, which is led by four-star offensive tackle Turner Corcoran.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten, Ohio State, Michigan and Northwestern are all putting together outstanding recruiting classes for next year. However, Nebraska could close the gap in the near future.
Nebraska has two visits lined up for this weekend with a pair of three-star recruits.
According to theOmaha World-Herald, Nebraska will host Marvin Scott III and Blaise Gunnerson this weekend.
Scott is the No. 54 running back in his class, per 247Sports. He has scholarship offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech, Boston College and several other programs.
As for Gunnerson, 247Sports lists him as the No. 2 recruit in his state. It appears Nebraska has to beat out Iowa State for his commitment.
Landing Scott and Gunnerson would give the Cornhuskers much-needed depth for the future, and it would also be a testament to Frost's ability to recruit.
Nebraska has the No. 64 recruiting class in the country right now, but that could change after this weekend.
