Saturday's Big Ten contest between Nebraska and Indiana won't dictate the Big Ten title race. But it does carry heavy implications for both teams.

Nebraska is on the ropes after being humiliated in last week's 34-7 blowout loss to Minnesota. Now, the Huskers stand at 4-3 and 2-2 in conference play. Scott Frost's squad is just two wins away from reaching bowl eligibility, which athletic director Bill Moos has identified as a goal for the year.

But the Huskers' remaining schedule poses a major threat to their postseason potential.

Indiana hopes to spoil Nebraska's season on Saturday. The Hoosiers themselves are 5-2 and 2-2 in Big Ten play. This team isn't to be overlooked. The Hoosiers took Michigan State to the wire in late September, but came up short in a 40-31 loss.

Indiana does have conference wins over Maryland and Rutgers. For a football program which has struggled to gain relevance in the Big Ten, Saturday's contest is a chance to make a statement.
