4-Star DB Noa Pola-Gates Commits To Nebraska

Noa Pola-Gates announces commitment.

Polynesian Bowl

Nebraska football just scored a big-time recruiting win, with the commitment of four-star defensive back Noa Pola-Gates.

The safety out of Arizona made his announcement at tonight's Polynesian Bowl.

Pola-Gates was down to the Huskers, Arizona State, and USC, but Nebraska seemed to have the most momentum in the recruitment.

Family ties to the school certainly helped.

Pola-Gates' cousin Keana Pola is a Huskers softball player. Another cousin, Matthew Pola-Mao, is also a Nebraska recruit down to the same three schools, though he remains undecided.

Pola-Gates is the No. 156 player in the country, and the third-ranked recruit in Arizona, per 247Sports.

Noa Pola-Gates' Nebraska commitment came minutes ago from the Polynesian Bowl, which is being broadcast from Hawaii on CBS Sports Network.

The commitment helps vault Nebraska's recruiting class a bit higher as well. The group is now ranked No. 20 in the country, and No. 4 in the Big Ten for the class of 2019.

Seven members of the class have already enrolled, and another 17 utilized the early signing period in December.
