Report: 4-Star DE Quayshon Alexander To Commit To Nebraska Monday

Nebraska will be adding a four-star defensive end to its 2016 recruiting class early next week, according to NJ.com's Pat Lanni. Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic defensive end Quayshon Alexander told Lanni on Wednesday that he intends to commit to the Huskers officially on Monday.

Alexander held offers from Ole Miss, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Miami and others, but said Nebraska was the best fit for him.

"As much as I know that Nebraska is the best decision for me — and there's literally no way in the world that anything could ever change my mind because that's just how confident I am — I'm still just going to ensure myself of that by going to all of these other schools and checking them out for the experience. It's a great opportunity that not that many people ever get."

Earlier this week, Alexander dropped a major hint that an announcement was a mere formality and he'd already made up his mind on his future.

The #GBR hashtag stands for "Go Big Red" of course. Alexander is the 27th-ranked weakside defensive end in the nation, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
