Report: Rutgers WR Janarion Grant Will Not Play Against Nebraska

The fifth-year senior is Rutgers' top offensive weapon.

Rutgers wide receiver Janarion Grant did not make the trip to Lincoln and will not play today against Nebraska, according to a new report from NJ.com.

Grant was non-contact during practice this week, per reports, and came up lame late in the first half of last week's 65-0 win over Norfolk State.

This news comes after Grant missed the final eight games of the 2016 season due to a broken ankle. He was limited throughout training camp as the team tried to keep him healthy for the season.

Through three games, Grant leads Rutgers in receiving yards (112) and all-purpose yards (286), while tying for the team lead with 12 receptions.

For his career, he has scored 13 total touchdowns--five on kickoff returns, three on punt returns, three rushing and two receiving.

Rutgers and Nebraska will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
