Oregon paid tribute to the late Sam Foltz Saturday afternoon ahead of its matchup with Nebraska.
The Oregon Ducks are in Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday afternoon to take on the Cornhuskers in what should be an entertaining affair. Ahead of the contest, the Ducks showed a great deal of class.
This past summer, Nebraska punter Sam Foltz passed away in a car accident that also claimed the life of former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler. Oregon paid tribute to Foltz, who wore No. 27, by placing green and yellow flowers on the 27-yard-line. Head coach Mark Helfrich and place kicker Matt Wogan did the honor.
Nebraska acknowledged the tribute on its Twitter account.
Props to Oregon for coming up with a great way to honor Foltz's memory. This is what college football is all about.
