Watch: Purdue Punter Presents Nebraska With No. 27 Jersey To Honor Sam Foltz

After the tragic passing of Nebraska punter Sam Foltz over the summer, a number of the Huskers' opponents have had very touching tributes ahead of their games this season.

Today, Nebraska hosts Purdue, and ahead of the game, Boilermakers punter Joe Schopper presented the Huskers with a gray No. 27 jersey in honor of the former All-Big Ten player.

Purdue's tribute to Foltz is similar to Illinois' a few weeks ago, which also gave a custom jersey to Nebraska player ahead of the game. Northwestern wore helmet stickers to honor Foltz, Oregon placed flowers at the 27-yard line, and during its season opener against Fresno State, Nebraska took a delay of game from the punt formation, with no punter on the field as a very touching tribute.

Foltz was killed along with former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler in a tragic car crash after a special teams camp in Wisconsin. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was also in the accident, but survived.
