He'll be the team's head coach for the bowl game.

Scott Frost led UCF to an undefeated season, and a spot in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl against Auburn on January 1.

After winning the American conference title, it was announced that Nebraska hired Frost to be the team's new head coach. Despite him agreeing to become the head coach at his Alma mater, Frost will coach UCF in the team's bowl game.

The move is out of the ordinary, but the smooth transition and gratification from both sides has also been surprising.

Auburn is a 9.5-point favorite entering the contest, although no one saw the Knights surging to an undefeated record and a conference title.

Auburn and UCF kick off at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 1. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
