SI's Bruce Feldman Says Nebraska QB Tanner Lee Will Be CFB's Biggest Breakout Star

Lee is entering his first season as a starter at Nebraska.

If Nebraska is to make some noise in the Big Ten West in 2017, it will need quarterback Tanner Lee to live up to the hype.

At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Lee looks the part of a big-time QB, and he's shown flashes of his potential in the past. He made 19 starts in two seasons at Tulane, and was named Scout Team Offensive MVP at Nebraska last fall, when he redshirted after transferring.

At least one college football expert is buying stock on Lee. Sports Illustrated's Bruce Feldman picked Lee to be the breakout star in college football:

The former Tulane starter has everything NFL scouts look for in terms of size, smarts, arm strength and accuracy. He also has quite a bit of speed to work with at the skill positions (keep an eye on spectacular freshman receiver Tyjon Lindsey). With all the preseason hype on Wisconsin, Lee and the Huskers could make things very interesting in the Big Ten West.
