There’s about a month left of classes for most schools, and the college football spring games are getting under way. Despite being purely exhibition games, students have been attending the games in massive droves.

Of the over a dozen teams that have played so far, a handful have had spring game crowds numbering in the tens of thousands. But one team has stood out from the crowd.

Nebraska has wiped the floor with all other spring game crowds so far. The Huskers had approximately 86,000 fans in attendance for their game.

Rounding out the top five were Alabama (~62,000), Ohio State (~61,000), Penn State (~61,000), and Clemson (~60,000).

Tennessee and Oklahoma both had crowds of around 50,000, while Florida came in at eighth with 39,000 fans.

Notre Dame had 30,000 fans in attendance, and West Virginia rounded out the top 10 with a crowd of 19,000.

Two SEC teams reportedly had 10,000 fans or more: Kentucky with 16,000 and Arkansas with 10,000.

As for the eye-popping Nebraska attendance figure, it’s clear that fan support has not wavered in the slightest despite the recent slump that the team has found itself in.

The expectations for the Huskers football team in 2019 are going to be high as always, but the spring game crowds show that it’ll take a lot more than a 4-8 season to keep them away.
