Tommy Armstrong's status for Friday remains unclear.
Nebraska head coach Mike Riley gave an update on Tommy Armstrong Jr. today that should have Huskers' fans feeling better about his chances to play at Iowa on Friday.
Riley said that Armstrong, who missed the game against Maryland with ankle and hamstring injuries, practiced on Monday, but not at full speed.
Nebraska third-string quarterback Zack Darlington split first-team reps with Armstrong at practice.
Nebraska and Iowa are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T. on Friday. The game will be televised on ABC.
