I’m not sure that many college basketball coaches can say that they helped a fan seal the deal with a marriage proposal lately, but Nebraska’s Tim Miles certainly can. Huskers fan Joe Hawke got in contact with Miles via Twitter to ask if the head coach would record a message to help him propose to his girlfriend, a huge fan of Nebraska basketball.
Hawke had to reach out to Miles with a fake account (because his now-fiance follows his real one, of course, and she would have known what he was up to) but his plan worked perfectly:
@CoachMiles I’m proposing to my girlfriend soon and she’s a huge fan of yours (finding out she followed you on twitter sealed the deal) 1/2
