Wisconsin honored the late Sam Foltz on Saturday.
Nebraska and Wisconsin square off in a Big Ten clash on Saturday night and prior to kick off Wisconsin and its kicker Rafael Gaglianone honored the late Sam Foltz by taking the team a Nebraska a jersey with his name on it:
Nebraska's special teams unit laid the jersey on the bench as they have done all season.
Foltz, along with Michigan State punter Mike Sadler, died in a car crash driving back from a special teams camp in Wisconsin. Nebraska opponents this season have done an awesome job paying their respects. Today, the Badgers were no different.
The way that the college football community has rallied around Nebraska in light of this summer’s tragedy truly is special.
Foltz was the Big Ten’s punter of the year last season and was considered one of the best players at his position in college football. He was 22 years old.
