Nebraska basketball had a strong season in 2017-18. The Huskers are hoping for more next year.
The return of standout James Palmer Jr. should pay huge dividends. Palmer Jr. went through the NBA Draft process before returning to school.
Palmer Jr. led Nebraska in scoring with 17.2 points per game this past season. He added 4.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.
When Palmer Jr. takes the court this coming season, he’ll look a little bit different. The rising senior has changed his number.
Nebraska released the numbers for its newcomers today. Palmer Jr. was also included.
He is switching from 24 to 0.
New year. New hoopers. New numbers.

Regardless of what number Palmer Jr. wears on his uniform, Nebraska fans are expecting him to put up big numbers on the stat sheet.
Nebraska hasn’t made the NCAA Tournament since 2014, and that was the program’s first appearance since 1998. There’s a strong chance they snap that skid in 2019.
