Photo: Northwestern Is Getting A New Scoreboard

It's been a busy offseason for Big Ten football stadiums getting new scoreboards. Both Penn State and Nebraska have started working on new scoreboards for Beaver Stadium and Memorial Stadium, respectively. Now, Northwestern has joined in with the two, as it has unveiled its new scoreboard.

The scoreboard at Ryan Field certainly could use an upgrade, and according to a tweet from Big Ten Network's Brent Yarina, it's going to happen in time for the 2014 season.

The new LED scoreboard looks sharp, and is certainly a lot nicer than the scoreboard Ryan Field used to have. It is reportedly triple the size of the old scoreboard, and instillation will begin after Northwestern's commencement on June 20.
