2016 Big Ten Tournament Bracket, Schedule, Analysis

The NCAA Tournament isn't officially here yet - but we're close. This week, all five major college basketball conferences - amongst others - will be playing their conference tournaments to determine which teams get automatic bids into this year's Big Dance. We've already shown you the brackets for the ACC, the Big 12, the SEC and the Pac-12. The last one available? The Big Ten.

Indiana, behind a 15-3 conference record, will be the tournament's No. 1 seed. Michigan State, who many believe could be the best team in the country, has the No. 2 seed. Maryland and Purdue are the other two teams with double-byes - meaning they don't have to play until Friday.

Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan also finished with winning records in conference. The Buckeyes and Wolverines, however, likely need to do some work to qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

Here's the entire bracket, via the Big Ten.

Games will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network, ESPN, ESPN2 and CBS.

Favorite: Michigan State

Michigan State is essentially playing for a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans, who are probably the most talented team in the conference, have won 10 of their last 11 games - including a 19-point win over No. 1 seed Indiana. They also feature one of the best players in the nation in Denzel Valentine. Nothing in March is ever a lock - but when you have Tom Izzo patrolling the sidelines, you have to feel good about your chances.

Sleeper: Wisconsin

Wisconsin, after a title game run last year and the exodus of Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker, was supposed to have a down season and find itself on the outside looking in come tournament time. Not so much. The Badgers did get off to a slow start, posting just a 9-9 record through mid-January, but they eventually figured it out. A 1-4 Big Ten record turned into a 12-6 mark by year's end.

Don't be shocked if Wisconsin gets by Maryland and gives Michigan State a game. They're one of the most improved teams in the country.
