It appears Ohio State's hiring of former Rutgers and NFL coach Greg Schiano is already paying dividends.
Fred Hansard, a four-star defensive tackle in the 2017 class, is reportedly considering Rutgers, Michigan and Penn State, among other programs. The Buckeyes appear to be very much in the picture too, though.
OSU's addition of Schiano seems to be a big plus for the Buckeyes' chances, too.
Hansard is ranked the No. 7 defensive tackle and the No. 113 player in the 2017 class by 247 Sports' Composite Rankings. Ohio State has the No. 1 class in the country for 2017.
