Until recently, Henry Gray was a commit to the University of Miami. That changed with Mark Richt's abrupt retirement after the season.
Now, Miami is no longer among the favorites to land the four-star class of 2020 cornerback. He recently put out a new top eight schools list, which doesn't feature the 'Canes.
Henry Gray's top eight features Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee.
He announced the list on Twitter this afternoon.
Gray doesn't call these his finalists, so there is a chance to other programs to get involved here.
247Sports ranks the Miami Central star as a four-star player. He's the No. 51 player in the class of 2020.
The site has Gray as the No. 4 cornerback in the country, and the No. 6 player in Florida for the class.
Right now, 247's crystal ball has five analyst predictions in: two for Ohio State, two for Miami, and one for Clemson.
In total, Gray claims 26 scholarship offers, per 247. It is unclear what his timetable for a new commitment is, but we have plenty of time. The early signing period is not until December, and national signing day is just under a year away.
