As expected, Ohio State has landed a commitment from Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) four-star quarterback CJ Stroud.

Stroud announced for the Buckeyes moments ago on ESPNU as part of the network's coverage of the December National Signing Day. He picked Ohio State over Oregon, USC, Michigan and Georgia.

Ohio State offered the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Stroud in early October and he officially visited Columbus last weekend.

Stroud also took recent official visits to Michigan, Oregon and Georgia

Stroud certainly put some effort into his commitment announcement, unveiling a banner featuring a picture of him in an Ohio State jersey while visiting the school.

A top-100 recruit, Stroud is the No. 2 Pro Style passer in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He is the No. 10 senior in the state of California as well.

Currently, Ohio State's 2020 recruiting class ranks first in the Big Ten and No. 3 nationally. You can view 247Sports' Composite Team Rankings here and follow along as they update throughout the day.

As always, we at The Spun will continue to bring you the updated major stories on National Signing Day.
