Monday night, one of the top high school safeties in the country released his top seven schools. A number of Big Ten schools – including Ohio State and Michigan – are in the mix.
Makari Paige, who is rated as a four-star player by 247 Sports, included Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Michigan State, Purdue and Penn State in his group. For those counting, five of those schools hail from the Big Ten.
Paige, who is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound player, suits up for West Bloomfield in Michigan and is a class of 2020 prospect. 247 Sports currently projects him to play for the Wolverines, but nothing is set in stone.
Paige is ranked as the fifth-best player in the state of Michigan. He’s ranked as the 20th-best safety in the country for his class.
Paige released his top seven on Twitter on Monday night. He made it clear that he’s still motivated heading into his senior season.
