One of the top prospects for the Class of 2020, five-star forward Scott Barnes is being recruited by all of the top schools in the country. With an offer list of some of the best programs in the country, Barnes appears to be narrowing down the contenders.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Barnes announced his top eight contenders to be his school in 2020. The schools are: Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Oregon, Florida State, Cal, and Ohio State.
247Sports rates Barnes as the No. 3 overall prospect in the country. He is also rated as the No. 1 small forward recruit, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Florida.
Earlier in the week, Barnes had tweeted that he would be revealing a list of top seven schools, but appears to have added one more.

There are some picks on the list that do appear somewhat surprising. 247Sports’ Interest tracker revealed that neither Duke nor Cal had made Barnes a scholarship offer yet.
Meanwhile, the site’s Crystal Ball Predictions has Barnes as a 50-50 pick between Syracuse and Oregon.
He has taken official visits to Oregon and Florida State.
A commitment probably won’t be coming anytime soon though. None of the top-30 prospects from the Class of 2020 have announced their commitments just yet.
