The No. 2 point guard in the 2019 class is off the board. D.J. Carton just announced his commitment.

Carton, who hails from Bettendorf (IA), chose Ohio State over fellow Big Ten programs Indiana and Michigan. Carton officially visited all three programs in the last three weeks.

"I am proud to announce I will be continuing my education and basketball career at The Ohio State University," Carton wrote.

Below is Carton's full announcement.

Entering his second season as head coach of Ohio State, Chris Holtmann has established a strong recruiting foundation. He signed multiple four-stars in the 2018 cycle, and now has landed a five-star in Carton.

Carton joins four-star small forward Alonzo Gaffney as early commits for the Buckeyes in the 2019 class.

Carton is the No. 2 point guard in the 2019 class, and the No. 21 player in the nation, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
