Tee Higgins, a five-star wide receiver out of Tennessee, is the No. 3 rated player at his position in the class of 2017.
The one-time Vols commit released a top 10 a few weeks ago, but he has a handful of schools sticking out that he plans to visit this summer. Despite the decommitment, Tennessee is one of them, and as he tells 247Sports, he may wind up with UT when all is said and done.
“Right now, I’ve been talking a lot to Clemson, Tennessee, Florida State, Ohio State and Michigan,” said Higgins, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 16 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite for the 2017 class.
The 6-foot-4.5, 188-pound Higgins stopped short of calling those teams his current leaders, adding that they’re simply “the five that really talks to me the most.”
He said he’s hoping to visit all five schools sometime this summer, along with Georgia, a team that he said he has “always liked.”
Higgins says that the rest of his top schools—Notre Dame, Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss—are still in it, but we'd definitely feel better if we were one of the six schools he's discussed visiting. Of course, a ton can happen between now and February.
