Alex Smith was asked to make a tough choice between three of the head coaches that he's played for during a media appearance today.

It's Super Bowl week, which means that dozens of NFL stars that aren't on the New England Patriots or Philadelphia Eagles are making the media rounds. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith is among them.

Smith's future in K.C. is very much up in the air. He is coming off of what is likely his best professional season. He completed 67.5-percent of his throws for 4,042 yards, 26 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 15 games. He also notched his third Pro Bowl appearance.

The former No. 1 pick had career highs in completions, yardage, touchdowns, and quarterback rating. His five picks were tied for the second-lowest mark of his career, behind only 2007, when he appeared in seven games and threw four. Smith only had two touchdowns that fall.

There's no guarantee that he will be with the Chiefs again, however. He has a cap hit of $20.6 million next season, and 2017 rookie Pat Mahomes is waiting in the wings.

The Chiefs traded up to take the former Texas Tech gunslinger 10th overall in last year's draft. He played in the Chiefs' final regular season game, leading the team to a 27-24 win over the Broncos, completing 22-of-35 passes for 284 yards.

Smith joined TheRich Eisen Show this afternoon. For the show's "start, bench, cut" segment, the Chiefs starter who may turn into a cut himself was asked to choose between his former college coach Urban Meyer, his former 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, and his current coach Andy Reid.

Rather than choose them on their coaching merits, he was asked which coach he'd most like to vacation with. Here is his answer:

Ultimately, he decided to cut Reid, because "no one wants to go on vacation with their boss." Fair decision.

With the current Ohio State and Michigan head coaches, Smith went with Meyer over Harbaugh. We've seen what its like when Harbaugh travels, and Meyer is definitely a little less intense, at least in terms of his personality, than his Wolverine counterpart.

It's hard to really argue with any of them, unless you're a Michigan fan. Harbaugh's a lot, but we're sure most UM fans would gladly spend some time away with their team's head coach.

Smith had some other interesting things to say about Urban Meyer. Elsewhere in the interview, he said that the NFL has "always intrigued" him. Smith played for Meyer during his stint at Utah.
