The 2018 college football season is nearly here. We're just a couple weeks away from watching our favorite teams take the field on Saturdays once again.

The Ohio State football program has been under a microscope in recent weeks, but that won't delay the start of the season. The Buckeyes open the season with a non-conference game against Oregon State.

That game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday, September 1. It will be broadcast on ABC.

The announcers for that contest have been announced.

Dave Pasch, Greg McElroy, and Tom Luginbill will be calling the game.

Ohio state is the heavy favorite in the contest. The Buckeyes are a 35.5-point favorite for the game in Columbus, which will showcase Dwayne Haskins as the team's starting quarterback for the first time.

The Beavers won just one game during the 2017 season and get a difficult start to the 2018 season.
