Austin Mack made Ohio State history on Thursday.
The Buckeyes' four-star freshman wide receiver got his black stripe removed, Urban Meyer announced on Twitter. OSU first-year players have to wear a black stripe on their helmets until it's deemed they're worthy of being official members of the team.
Up until yesterday, no freshman had gotten his black stripe removed during spring practices. Mack did, though, setting a new record for Meyer's program.
