Big Ten Basketball Tournament: Start Date, Game Times, Bracket, Location

The Big Ten basketball regular season wraps up Sunday, which means that the postseason is just days away. We figured we'd give you a look at the 2016 Big Ten Tournament, which is slated to tip off on Wednesday, March 9. This year, all 14 teams are eligible to compete in the competition. Here's what we know so far:

  • Indiana, after its win over Iowa on Tuesday night, has clinched sole possession of first place and will be the tournament's 1-seed.
  • Michigan State, Maryland, Wisconsin, Purdue, Iowa and Ohio State are currently battling for the tournament's 2-seed.
  • Rutgers, at 0-16 in-conference, will need to win its final two games (and have Minnesota lose its final two) to avoid finishing in last place.
  • This year's tournament will be played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • The tournament will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network, ESPN, ESPN2 and CBS.

Here's the bracket, via the Big Ten. The first contest begins at 4:30 PM ET on Wednesday. The tournament concludes at 4:00 PM ET on Sunday.

Some other notes:

  • Wisconsin won last year's tournament, while Michigan State won in 2014.
  • Ohio State and Michigan State have won the most tournament titles - with four each.

While Indiana may be the 1-seed, it'll like be Michigan State getting all of the hype heading into the competition. Which team will prevail?
