With the offseason still in full swing for college football, four-star recruit Clark Phillips III is nearing his college decision. The talented cornerback from La Habra, California has received over 30 offers throughout his recruitment process.

Phillips is the No. 46 overall recruit and No. 4 cornerback in his class, per 247Sports.

After dozens of offers and schools pitching Phillips, only four teams remain in the hunt for his services. Cal, Ohio State, Notre Dame and UCLA are still in the sweepstakes for the four-star cornerback.

Phillips has plenty of time to make his decision, yet he sounds just about ready to announce where he'll play college football.

The California native will announce his commitment on Friday at 3 p.m. ET on CBS Sports HQ.

He revealed his decision date on Twitter.

It'll be interesting to see which team Phillips chooses this week. His decision could greatly affect the recruiting rankings around the country, as Ohio State and Notre Dame have elite talent in their respective classes.

Another possibility is that Phillips chooses to stay close to home. Cal and UCLA are both in-state schools, and the Bruins are especially close for the Los Angeles-area native.

247Sports' crystal ball predictions all have Phillips joining the Buckeyes for the 2020 season.

We'll find out where Phillips will attend college soon enough.
