There weren't many upsets in college football this weekend, but there was still plenty of exciting action throughout the country.

Michigan, Stanford and Miami eked out last-second victories, with Miami coming in especially improbably fashion. Notre Dame rallied in the final minutes to hold off Temple, and UNC's win over a ranked Pittsburgh squad bumped the upstart 7-1 Heels into the top 25.

But in ESPN's Weekly Power Rankings, the big news is at the very top of the poll. That's where you can find a new No. 1 team: Clemson. The Tigers' '56-41 win over NC State enabled them to vault over undefeated Ohio State and into the top spot. Poor Buckeyes: they were on a bye this week and could do nothing about Clemson overtaking them.
