Ohio State crushed Michigan, won the Big Ten East and emerged as the conference's champion after beating Northwestern, but the Buckeyes were left out of the College Football Playoff. Why? Because on October 20, they lost to Purdue on the road in a shocker, 49-20.
Purdue finished the season with a 6-6 record and was rewarded with a date with Auburn in the Music City Bowl. The Boilermakers were run off the field against the Tigers however, falling 63-14 in a game where the score probably could have been worse.
Many - including FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd - are bashing Ohio State in the aftermath of Purdue's ugly loss.
Cowherd even went as far as to say that the Buckeyes "had no business" being in the Playoff.
Ohio State fans, predictably, are not happy with what he has to say.
Between this and the constant hate on Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, Cowherd isn't a very popular man in Ohio right now.
Ohio State will take on Washington in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.
