Dan Orlovsky was on the call for Saturday’s Ohio State-Michigan State game on ABC. Fans weren’t impressed with his commentary.
Orlovsky made several very questionable comments during Saturday’s Big Ten clash. At one point, the ESPN commentator even compared Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields to current NFL quarterback Josh Allen. Yes, you read that right. Orlovsky actually made that comparison. Fields and Allen aren’t similar prospects in the slightest.
Orlovsky’s Fields-Allen comparison is just one of several bizarre comments he made on Saturday. Ohio State and Michigan State fans are muting the television at this point.
Take a look at what college football fans are saying about the ESPN commentator’s performance on Saturday.

“Never underestimate your ability to not throw the ball” is something Dan Orlovsky just said during a football game.
I could stare at that sentence for three weeks and still not be completely sure I know what he means.

Comparing Justin Fields to Josh Allen? I’m going to East Lansing to escort Dan Orlovsky to prison

Buckeyes and Spartans fans may just want to mute the game’s audio at this point. It might not be worth it, as long as Dan Orlovsky keeps making strange comments.
Luckily for Ohio State, Orlovsky’s commentary didn’t have an impact on the game. The Buckeyes jumped out to 28-0 halftime lead over the Spartans on Saturday, which is even more impressive considering OSU is down a few key players.
Ohio State checked in at No. 4 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings. A loss would essentially eliminate the Buckeyes from the playoff. Win out and Ohio State gets in.
As for Buckeye Nation, the fans will have to listen to Orlovsky’s commentary for just a few more hours.
